An estimated three million Afghans live in Iran. Many migrated decades ago to escape wars and search for a better life. Modern Iran owes much of it’s development to the cheap but hardworking labor force they provide. Yet they are not protected from exploitation in their work-space, can never obtain a permanent residency or citizenship, are often denied health insurance and education and live in constant fear of being arrested or deported.
